Best way to cover a distance between rooftops?

Make your own frame between the 2 walls, Screw into them with wood etc and make a frame with a cover, That is well fixed down with plenty of nails and make sure the frame would be sturdy too. Dont use cheap plywoor or something cr*p. And use galvanised nails for extra weather proof.
